A few weeks ago, my husband and I went to New York City for the weekend. It was a delicious getaway full of extra sleep, fabulous food, and the shopping only New York can offer. Our first night there, we went to dinner at a lovely restaurant called Scarpetta. I was so excited to wear my funky Céline pants (they are all white underneath, but the front is covered with a black organza that makes them look almost silver) and the pleated asymmetrical hem Céline top I last wore here.
The lighting in our hotel room was pretty yellow, but here you can see them in the light (with my Balenciaga leather jacket because it was freezing)...
We had a delicious meal and some celebratory champagne in the candlelight. It was a perfect evening.
And then imagine my surprise as I walked across the street to Bergdorf Goodman the next morning only to see in their iconic front window...
the exact same outfit I'd just worn the night before (and had purchased separately on different occasions). It felt like the highest stamp of fashion approval!
Stamp of approval indeed!!! I love your jacket.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lauren! It's a favorite of mine too.
Deletenice!

DeleteYou are such fashionista! I love it! Totally random, but do you read Patricia Cornwell? Her main character always goes to Scarpetta and it makes me want to try it :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a high compliment! I'll take it. :)
DeleteI haven't read Patricia Cornwell, but Scarpetta is really a wonderful place. The food is ridiculously good, and the atmosphere makes it even more enjoyable. It's a must go!
I'm going to put it on my list for my next NY trip!
DeleteNice blog :D I'm following :)
