Sharing the Céline Genius

When I've worn high heels lately (here and here, for instance), I almost exclusively wear one pair: my Céline metal heeled sandals.  They are minimal, comfortable, funky.  For a heel to be unusual, a spectacle, and low enough to walk in (without special supermodel training) is basically unheard of.  But leave it to a mother of four to bring all these elements together in one perfect shoe.  Thank you, Phoebe Philo!

Since Céline is sort of hard to find (much less pay for), however, I've been on the prowl for similar items.  One of the many great things about Céline under Phoebe Philo is that her designs are so impeccable that many other people try to make similar versions of her things.  Here are my favorites that I've found:

Here is a pair of Zara heels that bear a striking resemblance to the Céline's.  They've got a mid-heel, a similar interesting strap and heel enclosure, and simple, wearable colors.

These Pour La Victoire sandals have the metallic heel and simple black leather upper as the originals.  Strong resemblance, don't you think?

This pair by Sam Edelman has a shorter heel and fewer interesting back details, but otherwise are very  similar to the original.

This Tibi pair is less obviously a match to the originals, but has the same silver and black contrast and could be worn with so much throughout the summer.

So there you have it, the ripple effect of Céline genius, such that all can have a part of it!
