New Silhouette

As you have probably noticed, school-boy sweaters have been popular this fall.  Well, apparently they're sticking around, and making their way into outfits involving new silhouettes (beyond those with pants/jeans).  Here is what I'm talking about:

This outfit leaped out at me from the newspaper today, in a story about Pre-Fall 2012 collections (this outfit, in particular, is Jenni Kayne).  I just love it, because it means my grey schoolboy sweaters are sticking around, but they're going to look even more sophisticated, because they can be paired with a long skirt (rather than just colored, printed, or boyfriend jeans).  I love that colored jeans may be translated into colored maxi-skirts in the coming seasons (although there's no reason we can't start now).
