Color!!!

As I've mentioned before, I've been inspired to wear more color lately.  Tommy Ton, the rad photographer behind the Jak and Jil blog recently outlined his top trends of 2011.  First in line?  Color.  And this photo of his captures it perfectly:

Ah-may-zing!!!!  Doesn't this make you want to go put on all the color in your closet... all at once?  This photo also tells me two other things (well, it speaks a zillion words, but here are two of its many lessons): 1) YELLOW is one of the hot colors of the moment (and looks particularly rad with grape purple), and 2) bright color looks fab with a broken in chambray shirt.  

I LOVE this photo and will be looking back at it frequently for inspiration as spring approaches.  It's a great reminder to take the extra minute to look past my grey and black usual suspects from my closet and, instead, choose something loud and unexpected.  It's a great way to add a little energy to your outfit (and day).

    ohhh man...i want everything in this picture. especially that patterned jacket the Missoni heiress is wearing. I wonder if the jacket is in fact Missoni?

    Sandra- I couldn't agree more. Spring can't come fast enough (and p.s. winter just started). Love all the colors, including the purple and orange.

    La Mode- I know Margherita Missoni is often photographed wearing Missoni, so I'd assume her jacket is, but I can't say for sure. xo
