Blouse: J. Crew (another fun option here); Sweater: J. Crew; Jeans: J Brand; Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (old- another option here)
Here I am wading back into the field of the peplum (last attempted here). The peplum shirt really is a fun shape to pull off. It's so different from the average shirt that it can't help but feel festive. The way it's part shirt/part skirt really brings a smile when you look at it. And because of the volume, it really calls for a skinny pant beneath it, lest you look like you're adding volume upon volume (and really, how many women can pull that look off?) If necessary, a sweater can be worn on top (or a blazer, as seen here).
And, if no topper is needed, then go for it. Just you and your peplum. Together, whatever the world may bring. And, in case it brings steep climbs or chasing down an errant toddler, I opt for flats.
Happy Monday!

Love the top! I really like your blog, it would be nice if you could stop by my blog sometime too :) :)

I just checked out your blog, Lorna. It's lovely! And I love your amazing denim collection. I'm partial to the tie dye ones, myself. Thank you for your comment. I look forward to hearing what you think of my blog in the future. xo
