We received these chic Riedel stemless wine glasses as a gift a few years ago. For some reason, it took me a while to warm up to them, but now I think they're absolutely fabulous. They're modern, distinctive, lovely, and they are relatively accident-proof, because you don't have to deal with the stem or making sure you place them just so (I'm not normally a klutz, but put a glass of red wine in my hand, and all of the sudden, I lose control-- not good timing to be sure).
Ahhhh, the perfect way to wind down after a stressful day (without adding any additional stress owing to your stemware).

First, what I would do for a big glass of red these days!!!!! Second, I do not own stemless wine glasses but I have always been a fan. I always find, like you, when I have the glass sans stem I never end up breaking it or ending up with red splotches on whatever I am wearing or sitting on. And I am klutz so this right up my ally!
