Café Capri

Though I am always talking about color here, and I really am working on incorporating more of it into my wardrobe, here is another picture of me in my old weekend stand-by: black and white.  Please pardon the unintentional wrinkly effect on my shirt-- (note to self: must learn Photoshop, and/or experiment with using my iron more often).

Anyway, this is my first foray into the cropped pant look, and I'm actually liking it.  My husband scoffed at it right away, at which point I knew it had to be cool-- because he's into extremely classic looks that never change.  Nearly his entire wardrobe is navy, which I make a point not to own, to make up for his over-commitment to it.

Shirt: Stella McCartney; Pants: J. Crew; Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (old, similar here

The pants are J. Crew's café capri pant, which come in a zillion different colors, and I think would look good on just about any body type.  So, if you're feeling more experimental than I was this past Saturday, I suggest rocking them in one of their many bright colors, or a bold print, comme ça:

  3. Love the outfit. You look fabulous! And I have to say I am quite jealous that it is warm enough where you live to wear capris. That seems like a far off world for me in 32 degree New Enlgand winter weather up here :(
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colored capris. Fabulous! And thank you for your continued inspiration to incorporate color :)!

  4. Thank you, Sandra!!! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring, regardless of how "mild" they keep saying this winter has been. :)
