Every year around the holidays, sequins emerge and seem fitting for the festivities. But then, once the holidays are over, they seem a little out of place. "Why did I think metallic spangles would be a good look on a cardigan, dress, etc.?"
But this year is different. Sequins are EVERYWHERE, and they feel appropriate. Maybe we need a little pick-me-up, a little something that feels celebratory... but for whatever reason, sequins are IT right now. You can find just about anything covered in sequins-- from shoes and bags, to tank tops and dresses, to iPad and iPhone cases, makeup cases, nail polish... officially everywhere.
Sequins are a perfect way to add a little party to your day (even if it's a Tuesday). There is a way to incorporate them into just about any occasion. I'm even considering the above sequin pants, which I would never have done in the past.
So, why not try them out? Who couldn't use a little extra sparkle?

I am obsessed with sequins these days. i can't stop looking at that zara wallet and jcrew iphone case... so fabulous and fun!!!! if i weren't 5 1/2 months pregnant i would order the alice and olivia dress yesterday!
