Playing With Color

The rules of wearing color seem to be changing lately.  Gone are the days when you had to be careful with color-- now unorthodox combinations are all the rage.  Julia Sarr-Jamois' (about whom I also wrote here) amazing color combo above is a perfect example.  In the past, who would have thought to pair aqua and dark green?  Not I!  But doesn't this combination look perfectly chic on Julia?  I'll say!  It's a great inspiration for pairing unusual colors together.  In particular, it helps show that pastels don't only have to go with other pastels-- they can be paired with primary colors as well.  For a look inspired by Julia's, here's an idea:
