Spring Radiance by alexsinger featuring nars cosmetics
A change in season often calls for new makeup. There are some really wonderful new (to me) options out there right now, and I thought I'd share my favorites.
First of all, Nars' new Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is to die for. It's got a really wonderful consistency and feel to it. It has just the right amount of coverage for spring and summer, and it's got you covered as far as sunscreen goes (because it's SPF 30). As soon as I tried it, I had a new favorite tinted moisturizer.
Nars Orgasm Illuminator is also a new fave. The brand's Orgasm blush has long been a favorite of mine, but the illuminator has a really lovely sheen to it and can be used as a buildable blush/highlighter. I'm especially loving it under Benefit's Coralista blush, which has the perfect shade of coral to go with the color of the year (in case you haven't noticed, coral is everywhere, and Pantone name Tangerine Tango the color of 2012).
I was also pleasantly surprised by my experimenting with Sephora's glossy gloss recently. I am a lip gloss afficionado-- I could probably live with the same makeup for the rest of my life, as long as I could constantly rotate in new lip glosses. I am very particular about them. I have real favorites and those I steer way clear of. Consistency is central to my metrics-- they can't be goopy, too light or easily disappearing, and great color is essential. Well, I was quite surprised to find that Sephora's in-house brand met my strict criteria. And they have some really fun colors to play with-- I'm especially loving Pink Macaron and Creme Brulee right now.
Finally, Chanel Nail Colour helps complete the springy makeup look. The fun shades (which I will likely only wear on my toes, as I wrote about here, but which will look fab on the hands of the brave) really bring a lot of fun to a spring/summer makeup routine. My favorites now are May, Mimosa, Orange Fizz, and Coco Blue.
Enjoy some new spring radiance!!

Love the Chanel nail polish! I'm rocking hot pink nails right now and it helps me forget that it's only 60 degrees in LA.
