Black + White

I've been wanting to share photos of my own outfits with you for some time, but as I've mentioned, I didn't really have a photographer who could take the photos.  But finally I convinced my husband to do it (and put some effort into it, so that you could actually see what I am wearing, complete with my head attached and all).  

So here is what I wore to a dinner at the home of friends the other night.  I'm not sure it's adequately captured (this is a work in progress, my friends), but I'm wearing velvet skinny pants, an oversized silk shirt, and an ostrich feather clutch (I decided on the clutch after mourning the loss of this ostrich feather jacket).

And here's the coat I wore on top.  My husband wasn't a fan, but let's admit that sometimes men just don't get fashion.  I'll also admit that in these photos, I sort of look like a have a hunchback, but that's because the coat has a big fur collar that is covered by my hair.  (Notice also the yellow princess shoe of my daughter's in the corner, lest you thought this was some fancy photo shoot in a minimalist space.  Nope, it was done on the fly as we were just about to leave our house, which we clearly could have cleaned better).

So, what do you think?  More photos of my outfits?  Or not?  I won't be offended if you'd rather just see collages of lovely outfits, rather than my mug (or I'll try not to be, anyway).  Either way, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  Do you agree with my husband?  Is the coat a yay or nay?
